24 HOURS AROUND THE WORLD SKATE

Tarikh 14 Jun 2009. Desa Park City -->TTDI-->Sri Hartamas-->Sprint Highway-->TTDI

Acara ini diadakan di seluruh dunia, ideanya adalah untuk membuat satu rantaian skaters dari seluruh pelusuk dunia untuk membuat satu bulatan pada bumi, masa minimum untuk skate adalah 2 jam dan disebabkan perbezaan waktu acara ini diadakan samada 13 atau 14 Jun ikut negara masing-masing. Acara ini direkodkan oleh seorang pemerhati/penjaga yang boleh dipercayai atau diiktiraf.


Malam sebelumnya Marts tidur jam 3 pagi. Jam 6 pagi Marts dah terbangun sebab nak ke Desa Park City. Punya la mengantuk, lepas jam bunyi, Marts tertidur balik sampai jam 7!!! Kelam kabut Marts bangun mandi sebab takut terlewat.

Dalam Marts kelam-kabut takut terlewat tu Marts pun drive la dengan main redah sahaja sebab Marts tak pernah ke Desa Park City pun. Hanya berdasarkan gambaran opis mate Marts sahaja. Tu-tup Marts terlepas ke flyover Kepong pulak! Patut buat u-turn bawah flyover. tak pasal-pasal Marts kena pergi jauh untuk cari u-turn semula ke Desa Park City.

Bila sampai Marts nampak Steven dengan 5 skaters lain dah sampai. Marts ingatkan ramai yang akan datang, tapi tak ada rupanya. Mungkin masing-masing dah kepenatan sebab skate Saturday Nite Skate malam sebelumnya kot. Marts pun penat jugak tapi untuk charity apa salahnya kan. Wakil UNICEF pun ada jugak.

Nak jadi cerita, pihak pengurusan Desa Park City(pak guard la) tak benarkan pulak kitaorang skate kat situ walaupun sebelum ni dah banyak kali acara skate buat kat situ. Basikal boleh pulak!! Pengawal-pengawal keselamatan berbangsa Nepal dan Bangla kat situ halau Marts dengan kawan-kawan. Kitaorang malas nak bising-bising sebab akan buang masa sahaja. Ada sorang pakcik yang naik basikal kat situ cakap;

"Now they are hiring foreigners to keep us from doing a good thing."

Ketua Pengawal Bangla kat situ tanya Marts masa lawan-lawan cakap mulut,

"What's UNICEF, insurans ka?"

Bengong. Sebelum Marts jawab, pakcik naik basikal tu jawab balik,

"There's no point talking to these guys, you don't have to explain."

Kesudahannya Marts dengan kawan-kawan buat keputusan untuk skate di tempat lain. Sebab dah agak terlewat, kitaorang buat keputusan untuk skate dari Desa Park City ke TTDI. Steven kata tinggal kereta kat situ dan bila dah habis nanti baru datang balik ambil kereta.

Marts sebenarnya teragak-agak sikit sebab perjalanan jauh tu, ikut highway dan jalan raya yang banyak kenderaan. Tapi mana boleh mengaku kalah awal-awal kan. Jadi Marts pun setuju la nak ikut diaorang. Diingatkan dalam kumpulan Marts nak sebenarnya dalam 7 orang tu ada seorang perempuan, seorang budak dan 4 orang lagi masuk dalam kategori pro skaters. Marts dengan budak tu masuk dalam skater amatur je.

Perjalanan memang jauh, semuanya lebih kurang 35km. Ke TTDI dari Desa Park City tak jauh tapi dari TTDI tu kitaorang pergi ke tempat lain pula. Walaupun penat, Marts rasa sangat-sangat puas hati dan seronok dengan sesi kali ni. Rasanya stamina pun dah makin bagus sebab Marts boleh teruskan perjalanan tanpa ada rasa penat yang melampau.

Yang buat rasa teruk cuma masa naik jalan yang berbukit-bukit sahaja. Seksa tau kalau naik bukit bila kaki kita ada roda nih!

Lepas turun ke Bukit Lanjan, jalan kampung. Morning mist + asap lori. Naik bukit dan turun bukit kedua dah ni.

Dah sampai TTDI. Ambil masa lebih kurang 1 jam dari Desa Park City. Banyak bukit.

Dari TTDI nak masuk ke highway semula. Seksa la panjat bukit ni. Curam. Kat pinggang tu bukan lemak dia tau, tapi botol air kiri dan kanan!

Masa ni Marts tengah masuk stesen minyak beli air sebab air dah habis. Marts rasa Marts minum 4 botol air sepanjang perjalanan.

Ayarkkk! Bukit lagi. Ni masuk laluan tengah, turun bukit dan lepas tu ada satu bukit yang sangat sangat sangat la panjang. 3 kali Marts berhenti sebab penat kan. Tapi Marts naik jugak perlahan-lahan.

Huh huh huh naik pun perlahan-lahan je sebab dah penat. Kat belakang tu Steven pun dah penat tau. Walaupun tak curam tapi seksa sebab lawan graviti kan.

GET HAPPY I

15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the nagative blues away.

18. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
